contributor to inventions and patent licensing efforts realizing some hundreds of millions of licensing revenue. (not my money). Developed proofs of
infringement of IBM’s Filepp patents, which are currently used as templates for
many of IBM’s Internet-related enforcement actions and deal negotiations. The
most significant of these were proofs that AOL infringed IBM’s Filepp patents.
These were heralded by IBM’s IP executives as the most precise, detailed and
incontestable evidence of infringement of these patents. The net of my work was
a winning infringement case against AOL aimed at the heart of their
service.

of the principal architects of the Prodigy on-line service and network, managed
the Systems Architecture group with responsibility for the company-wide systems
design. Personally responsible for defining the Object Architecture and the
Data Interchange Architecture. These architectures specified how distributed
data and programs were represented as well as how they were transmitted through
the Prodigy network.
Managed
the Prodigy Local Site software development team. These 300+ geographically dispersed
but centrally managed servers acted as caching proxy concentrators and provided
distributed application functions, reducing the demand on Prodigy's hosts by up
to 90%.
